Wedding at Rowton Castle.
Wedding season is well and truly underway. My favourite time of the year is finally here.
It’s been 12 months since weddings, have been back in business, and boy what a lovely 12 months it has been!
Liz and James got married at Rowton castle, in August last year.
Rowton Castle is one of my favourite venues, based in the town of Shrewsbury. A beautiful 17th century, grade 2 listed castle, set in gorgeous grounds. It’s perfect for a romantic wedding.
I had the pleasure of shooting Liz’s sisters wedding there four years ago, so it was lovely to go back and see all their family again.
They choose an outdoor ceremony which, even with a few showers, gave the ultimate wow factor. Outdoor ceremonies are perfect for a summers day. This, coupled with lots of lawn games, meant guests could really make the most of the outside spaces.
Liz choose blue for her bridesmaid dresses, whilst the groomsmen wore a darker blue to compliment this.
The bridal bouquet was mainly made from brooches. This included a very important family brooch, as well as strings of pearls, a great keepsake that can be kept as a reminder of the day.
After the first dance, the party got really started, karaoke and glow sticks, there really was something for everyone.
What a beautiful venue for a fairy tail wedding 🙂
